THE FLOOD OF JUNE 7, 2008
In downtown Franklin, Indiana
Flooding started in the morning with water overflowing the mostly subterranean ditch which runs northeast to southwest through Franklin (and apparently added to by Hurricane Creek); the lowest spots before hitting Youngs Creek being in the vicinity of Paris Tire and the Admiral gas station. Around mid-day Youngs Creek rose and backed up the ditch, then soon after overflowed its banks.
I only photographed parts of Franklin - downtown and just south.
